Description:
Canterbury Music" was formed in the UK by Richard Sinclaire (b/vo), who played in CARAVAN/CAMEL, and Dave Stewart (key), who played in the pop duo STEWART & GASKIN and had a string of hit singles in the '80s. The '74 debut album, released on the UK's Virgin label, was remastered in 24-bit and reissued on CD in 2009 by Esoteric Recordings in the UK. This is a masterpiece that captivates listeners with its humorous and somewhat blurred tunes that are unique to Canterbury music, and its technical performance that was elaborated with the introduction of the Jazz idiom. Geoff Leigh (saxophone) and Robert Wyatt (vo), both ex-HENRY COW members, join the band as guests. In addition to the unalbumed singles 'Let's Eat (Real Soon)' and 'Fitter Stoke Has A Bath,' which were also included on the old CD, the album-unrecorded track 'Your Majesty Is Like a Cream Donut (incorporating "Oh, What a Lonely Lifetime")', which appeared on the '75 double-label compilation 'V', is newly added.Includes 3 bonus tracks/24Bit Remaster].
