Description:
A full concert recording of the band's ninth Boston show of the tour, half a month after the release of their fifth album "The Last Record Album", recorded for FM broadcast by local station WBCN. Live recordings from 1975, when the band was beginning to rise to the top! Half a month after the release of their fifth album, "The Last Record Album", this is a full concert recording of the Boston show, the ninth stop on the tour, recorded for FM broadcast by the local WBCN station. It was with the 1974 album "Feats Don't Fail Me Now" that the outstanding band Little Feat was finally discovered by the major scene. From there, the band's reputation went global, and in early '75, they toured Europe for the first time (probably their first show outside of North America). This was a time when the band's popularity was becoming more and more solid, and they were about to enter a new phase of their musical development. The band's best-known songs were mostly performed, and the set list was very appealing. Lowell George's slide guitar is also brilliant.A masterpiece of live performance with a real flavor! Little Feat was a hard-selling band in spite of their ability. Despite releasing such masterpieces as "Dixie Chicken" (1973), which introduced New Orleans funk, the band failed to sell well, and after touring steadily throughout North America, they finally made it into the Top 40 with "Feats Don't Fail Me Now" (1974) and consistently charted thereafter. Around the time of their fifth album, "The Last Record Album," their musicianship gradually began to show a more sophisticated side, as exemplified by the classic "Long Distance Love," and from this album onward, they were joined by Bill Payne on keyboards and Paul Valle on guitar. However, after this album, Bill Payne on keyboards and Paul Barea on guitar became more prominent, and George's intensity decreased. The set list, with a well-balanced selection of songs from the albums released so far (with the exception of the first album), is truly a culmination of the band's work up to this point.Prior to this show at Boston's Theatre for Musicals, the band performed at Paul's Maul in Boston for five consecutive nights from the 26th to the 30th, and it seems to have been a culmination of the excitement in the city of Boston. This is a must have for fans of the band.
